7 Reasons You Should Definitely Pull Your Vehicle Over
Arriving at your destination as quickly as possible is usually the goal. Although, there are some things you should absolutely pull over on the side of the road for. Below are 7 of those reasons:

Reasons to Pull Your Car Over

1. Poor Visibility
Regardless if the weather includes rain, snow, fog or hail, if you are on the road and can’t see where you are going, it is important to simply pull over and wait until conditions improve. Doing otherwise is very dangerous and may put you in harm’s way.
2. Medical Emergencies
If you find that you or your passenger is having a medical emergency, like a stroke or a choking episode, it’s best to pull over on the roadside and call 911 for help right away.
3. You Need to Reach Something
When you drop an item in your car like your phone or maybe your sunglasses and can’t reach them it’s important to remember NOT to lean over to reach it while you are driving. Simply pull over as soon as possible, get the item and get back on the road safely.
4. Children are Creating a Distraction
Children can often make paying attention to the road a bit more difficult. If your kids can’t sit still, are cranky or overly energetic, it’s best to pull the car over until they are able to calm down.
5. Emergency Vehicle’s Lights and Sirens
Being alert at all times on the road means being prepared to pull over at any given moment. It’s often hard to tell what direction a siren sound is coming from. Regardless, it’s important to be alert and ready to stop when needed for an emergency vehicle on the road.
6. Your Car is Having an Issue
If you notice that your car is suddenly having a problem, is making loud noises or begins not handling well and may require auto repair, it’s essential that you pull over and have your car towed into your auto repair facility right away.
7. Your Engine Begins Smoking
If your engine begins smoking, it is generally a sign that your vehicle needs auto repair. Driving yourself to the auto repair shop can be very dangerous. Pull over and call for a tow to avoid causing additional damage to your vehicle.
